Legacy of Excellence in Metal Manufacturing
A Premier Source for Wires, Shaped, and Flat Wires
For decades, Wheeler Industrial Corporation, Inc. (WIC) has been a leading name in the copper and copper alloy industry. Now in its third generation of family management, WIC is led by President and CEO Paul Coates, son of the late Norman Coates. Norman was nationally recognized as the CEO of Volco Brass and Copper Company, an organization founded in 1929 that earned the coveted "E Award" for Excellence in Manufacturing Munitions due to its exceptional contributions to the war effort during World War II. Paul Coates, having learned the intricacies of the copper and copper alloy business under his father's guidance, eventually rose to become the President and CEO of Volco.
Our Legacy and Evolution
Paul Coates founded Wheeler Industrial Corporation, Inc. in 1990. His vision was to create a diversified product line for wire and flat wire, filling the void left by the collapse of major brass producing mills in the United States. Today, WIC proudly supplies metal to over 90 different market segments across the United States and exports USA-produced products globally.
